:(FORKBOMB){:|:&};:
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Forkbomb is a rougelike that focuses on putting the player in the seat of an action movie hacker. It was a project for IAT410, Advanced Game Design, at Simon Fraser University. The team members were:
- sam springer (lead)
- Lucy Huang (visual artist)
- Alex Zhao (level design, programming)
- Yang Zhang (programming)
We completed development over the course of 10 weeks which culminated in a showcase with judges from various parts of the industry (we even won this very real and good award for it).
We had a lot of fun making this absurd game and we hope you have as much fun playing it.

Itchio Desktop Application cannot download/install this game:
'No compatible uploads found for this title'
weird, does the desktop app not like zip files or something?
i’ll look into it!
The itchio site has a guide on how to integrate with the app for full compatibility.
Took a quick look and changed some tags, tested on my mac and was able to install from the itch app.
Let me know if you're still having trouble!
Got it working now. Thanks for the fix!
Cheers! ^_^
It can't seem to install it. Also tried downloading the zip but get errors trying extract some the files
Hmm, looks like windows was having an issue with the Bzip2 compression I used on the original upload.
I re-upped the file with default windows compression and it extracts fine now (tested from the downloads section), but the app seems to be caching the old download and failing because it no longer exists. Not sure how to remedy that myself but already sent off a request to support, in the meantime the game can be downloaded and played manually. Sorry about the issue!Edit: the game installed properly after restarting my machine , if you're getting an "invalid download" error in the app restarting might help!
